Delay

Delay notes in time

Delay parameters

When to use it

Insert Delay to repeat notes in time with feedback and dry/wet mix — useful for echo effects, MIDI loop shading, or timed re-triggers.

Parameters

ParameterRangeWhat it does
Bypass0 – 1When on, the device is disabled and MIDI passes through unchanged.
Delay Time0 – 1000Time before the first repeat (0–1000 ms or clock-synced).
Note Length0 – 1000Length of each delayed note (0–1000 ms).
Repetitions0 – 10Number of echo repeats (0–10).
Feedback0 – 100Amount fed back into the delay line (0–100%).
Dry/Wet0 – 100Balance between original and delayed signal (0–100%).
Infinite0 – 1When on, repeats continue until bypassed or reset.
Sync0 – 1When on, rate follows MIDI clock; when off, uses async milliseconds.
Fixed Length0 – 1When on, delayed notes use Note Length instead of live gate.
Overdub0 – 1When on, new input is mixed into the delay buffer while repeats play.

Parameter values

Bypass

ValueNameMeaning
0OffDevice is active and processes MIDI.
1OnDevice is bypassed; messages pass through unchanged.

Infinite

ValueNameMeaning
0OffDelay stops after Repetitions.
1OnEchoes continue until bypassed.

Sync

ValueNameMeaning
0FreeUse async time (ms) instead of clock divisions.
1SyncedStep rate follows MIDI clock divisions.

Fixed Length

ValueNameMeaning
0OffDelayed note length follows input gate.
1OnUse Note Length parameter for each repeat.

Overdub

ValueNameMeaning
0OffInput replaces delay buffer content.
1OnMix new input into running repeats.
