Storage Info
Main Menu → Settings → Storage Info shows how built-in storage (and microSD, when present) is used.

Each volume is one row with three aligned columns:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Internal or microSD |
| Used / total | Space in use and capacity (KB, MB, or GB — up to 2 decimal places) |
| free … | How much you can still use. On Internal this is the largest contiguous free block (what a save can allocate). On microSD it is the card’s free capacity. |
When no card is inserted, the microSD middle column shows Not inserted (or Needs format).
Compact Storage
If a save fails with Fragmented - compact it while Internal still shows free space, free space is split into holes that are each too small for the new project size. Compare used/total with the free value — if free is much smaller than unused capacity, compact.
- Open Storage Info.
- Select the Internal row.
- Hold Select + Back to open the side menu.
- Choose Compact Storage and confirm.
Compaction relocates projects toward the start of Internal storage so free space becomes one block. It does not delete projects or change their contents. A progress overlay appears while it runs.
TIP
Compaction is only available for Internal storage. microSD uses the card filesystem and does not need this step.
Format Storage
To erase all stored projects and reformat storage:
- Open Storage Info.
- Hold Select + Back on a volume row to open the side menu.
- Choose Format Storage and confirm.
WARNING
Formatting erases all projects on that volume. There is no undo. Export or back up anything you need before confirming.
Factory reset of MIDI settings is separate from format — see Settings overview for clock and global channel options.
